Lime Energy is seeking dynamic, highly motivated Utility Program and Business Development Manager to oversee delivery of energy efficiency initiatives primarily serving clients and commercial customers in the Midwest and Southwest regions of the US. Eligible candidates will be a hands-on, highly skilled resource with a combination of management and technical experience.
Program management qualifications/skills desired
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure that deliverables meet or exceed utility client's expectations
Collaborate with clients to help develop public policy that promotes energy efficiency, renewable energy and reductions in greenhouse gas emissions.
Continuously adapt to quality assurance and market standards strategies to optimize impact, cost‐effectiveness and efficiency.
Manage budgets and financial performance and perform resource planning.
Develop strong partnerships with market actors, subcontractors and other industry affiliates.
Promote initiatives to customers, developers, contractors, and manufacturers.
Communicate effectively to solidify relationships with primary clients, subcontractors, and program team.
Familiarity with either investor-owned utilities and/or municipal and cooperative utilities
Background in lighting, HVAC, and refrigeration energy efficiency offerings.
Awareness of social, economic and environmental contexts of statewide energy policies;
Business development qualifications/skills desired
Track record of successful shaping and winning new business with either investor-owned utilities and/or municipal and cooperative utilities
Experience with business development processes; including opportunity identification, developing business cases, and capture management for utility energy efficiency programs
Ability to articulate complex issues into succinct, cohesive summaries and presentations
Existing relationships with utility personnel decisionmakers
Experience in business planning with strategic goals and identifying opportunities as part of the business development planning process to achieve established business area growth goals.
Demonstrated business acumen, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, reliability and sound judgment
Strong strategic thinking and planning skills
Passion for personal accountability, achievement, learning and continual improvement
Demonstrated ability to act as team leader and thought leader of interdepartmental working groups on complex and/or sensitive assignments;
Top-notch presentation and interpersonal skills that resonate with audiences of different backgrounds; the ability to communicate persuasively, concisely and unambiguously in speech and writing
Exceptional organizational, time-management and planning skills;
Ability to work independently as well as to collaborate with multiple stakeholders;
Demonstrated ability to develop relationships with key stakeholder groups;
Experience making presentations and/or serving as a panelist or workshop leader at professional meetings, conferences and seminars is a plus.
Bachelor's degree; and master's degree in related field desired
5+ years of experience of project management experience in or related to energy efficiency and/or renewable energy
Excellent computer skills: proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and use of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) technologies
Valid driver's license
Willingness to travel the US 50% of the time.
