Regional Sales Manager, Program Manager

Regional Sales Manager / Program Manager (RSM/PM-Central Region)

The RSM is a senior management position reporting directly to the SVP, Sales & Strategy. Build your team in the Ameren (IL) utility territory and manage clients throughout the central region including existing sales teams in Oncor and CenterPoint (TX). Your team will be comprised of Energy Service Representatives, Team Leads, Program Outreach Coordinators and Sales Administrators. The RSM is responsible for ensuring that the Central Region grows and meets sales quota, general sales operations, managing relationships with utility programs, talent acquisition and launching new territories in collaboration with the startup team and a Regional Vice President. The RSM/PM role is 70% sales leadership and 30% utility client management.

Meet utility client expectations by leading a sales team that delivers energy efficiency projects
Create a balanced team culture centered around integrity, positive reinforcement, customer excellence, fairness and accountability
Lead the sales teams to success by hiring, mentoring and managing activity metrics to ensure that the regional sales quotas are met
Launch new territories in multiple states within set region leveraging assets throughout the territory
Determine appropriate staffing for region with RVP, SVP and Human Capital
Work in collaboration with RVP to comply with client rules and communicate opportunities and challenges encountered by the sales team
Coach, train, set metrics for and mentor direct reports
Handle escalated customer service issues within region
Assist sales team with closing large and/or complex deals
Build a channel partnership network within region
Work with marketing to ensure timely distribution of leads, lead servicing and lead tracking
Set metrics for sales managers to ensure maximum utilization of sales team: number of audits/leads/proposals
Hold weekly or bi-weekly calls/meetings with direct staff and arrange a quarterly in person meeting
Analyze sales data related to region and come up with strategies to increase margin and sales
Identify areas of operational inefficiency and make recommendations to improve sales process
Attend meetings and phone calls with AVP/PM and utility clients as needed
Identify local energy efficiency functions and represent Lime at such functions
Assist in launching GTM1-GTM2 and other corporate initiatives as required within region
Travel within central region on a monthly basis



5+ years energy efficiency experience with 2+ years sales management experience
5+ years sales management experience
Extensive knowledge of lighting and utility programs; HVAC and refrigeration experience a plus
Strong organizational skills
Bachelor’s degree
Travel up to 40%
