Business Intelligence Developer
Lime Energy is seeking a Business Intelligence Developer. The Business Intelligence Developer will apply their strong database skills and best practices to the design of current and future Lime Energy Platform Roadmaps.
The Business Intelligence Developer is responsible for the development, management, and support of the data warehouse. This individual will assume ownership of existing processes and packages for the data warehouse and improve upon them as part of a larger effort to build a customer data platform. This includes ownership of data quality in the transformation process, defining quality assurance plans and rules. In addition, the individual, will work within a multi-disciplinary team and support and initiative to build a monitoring and management system for the overall business through the use of KPI’s and data visualization toolsets.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Design and implement and improve upon the processes that maintain the data warehouse
Work with senior team members and business stakeholders to understand requirements
Work with multiple technical disciplines, engineering, program design, marketing, sales and strategy and business operations and gain an understanding of how the business operates
Identify and document opportunities to streamline data management and provide feedback to the team and senior managers
Monitor and manage the quality of data in the data warehouse, provide feedback for improvements
Performs other related duties as assigned
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or similar field desired but not required. Experience and expertise will be valued higher than formal education.
Basic hardware knowledge of laptops, desktops, servers
2+ years of related experience which demonstrates a skillset that includes the technical and collaborative soft skills
Very strong SQL and SQL Server experience required
Very strong Microsoft Excel and Office tools knowledge and experience
Experienced in SSIS, SSRS, ETL tools and techniques
Experience dealing with large complex datasets
Experience in Business Intelligence tools highly desired but not required, Tableau, Power BI, Domo etc
Experience with one or more modern development languages highly desired (C#, Python, Java, etc)
Willingness to learn new tools, technologies and stays current with market trends
