Job Summary:

The leading national provider of energy efficiency for small business customers is seeking a hands-on, experienced and professional Accounts Payable Manager to join our team. Managing a team of 3, this individual will be responsible for all aspects of the payables cycle. 

 

 Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate and timely workflow of AP and T&E processes
  • Manage disbursement process through check, wire, ACH etc
  • Demonstrate thorough understanding of policies and authorization, as well as the impact of timely approvals and budgets, while educating cross-functional stakeholders
  • Develop, implement and maintain systems, procedures and policies to ensure timely and efficient workflow and consistency
  • Supervise, coach, and mentor the Accounts Payable staff, and ensure that system and process training is kept up to date
  • Oversee and administer corporate card program
  • Facilitate 1099-MISC process and IRS submissions
  • Perform diligence on unclaimed property and escheat when needed

 

Qualifications:

Direct leadership experience of accounts payable

  • Experience in process-improvement and data analysis for A/P
  • Experience in metrics development for measuring throughput, accuracy and quality in a payables environment.
  • Familiarity with construction industry a plus
  • Articulate with strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work as a productive member of a team
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, changing entrepreneurial work environment
  • Ability to work well under pressure while performing multiple tasks

Education, Training & Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree- Accounting, Finance or other related degree
  • 5+ years high volume A/P experience, with 2+ years in management
  • Strong computer skills, experience with Dynamics SL and Concur are desirable
